I carry garbage

Drowning in guilt as I think of yesterday's consumption.
- Awful north Indian food at Roti Garh in Gandhi Bazaar. (Can anyone tell me why that place is so popular?)
- Many spoonfuls of Gadbad ice cream
- Samosa and paneer cutlet, followed by Rasamalai at KC Das
- Amma's obbottu and murku, again many helpings
- An awesome pizza for dinner
- Jackfruit icecream at Polar Bear (while watching rape and violence on TV - I have no clue why they were playing such a movie in a public eatery)

Of course I paid for my sins during my morning run. It couldn't have been more ill timed, considering I started my coaching with personal trainers Dharmendra and Athreya today. Even the few loops at Kanteerava Stadium seemed tedious, thanks to my troubled tummy.

So now I solemnly swear to eat wisely and run well. I really do.

What am I doing right?

What the hell! After surprising myself with 4 miles yesterday, I did a 10 kk run today, and quite easily. What am I doing right???
I feasted on pasta, pizza and wine for dinner, watched a play and got home late, nursed a painful shoulder and slept after midnight. Woke up at 8 am, and its only thanks to the wonderful Bangalore weather that I stepped out for a run.
So perhaps it is my muscle memory that is enjoying the nostalgia. Once it gets bored of it, I will be in trouble. But till then, I should continue with these merry-go-runs.

I had a feeling...

I had a feeling that today I'll have a good run...and I did. Completed 4.5 miles in good form, which made me wonder what I did yesterday to deserve this. Not many pleasant things, I realized. There was this hour long traffic jam where nothing moved, and getting drenched on my way back home. A feast for lunch and takeaway for dinner. Back to back meetings and frustrating procrastinating behaviour. And oh yes, there was also the 21 Surya Namaskaras. Should repeat the last one today.

Despair Disrepair

This one's longer - and tougher - than my bucket list.

Scratch point

0 miles, 4+ kgs in three months! Back to scratch. Not a great place to be, but what the hell - been here, done that. Muscle memory, I need you.
Mumbai half, we start today.
